Various spring volunteer activities held by Youth Union affiliations are underway in Khanh Hoa Province to help disadvantaged children and families to have a warm and fulfilled New Year holiday.
 
A.Yersin Junior High School students in Suoi Cat Commune, Cam Lam District have just received New Year gifts, containing candies, cakes and lucky money in the 2019 spring gift program held by Khanh Hoa Youth Union and Tuoi Tre Newspaper. A child named Cao Thi Tam, Suoi Lau Village excitedly said: “I am so glad to get the New Year gift with candies and cakes for the New Year holiday and I’ll ask my mom about buying me a new blouse to wear on the New Year day.” 
 
In Suoi Cat Commune, Khanh Hoa Youth Union and Tuoi Tre Newspaper offered 200 gifts to disadvantaged students affected by recent storms and flooding; 200 gifts to students in Phuoc Dong Commune, Nha Trang City and 100 gifts to students in Ba Cum Bac Commune, Khanh Son District with a total cost of VND250 million. Khanh Hoa Comrade Associate will continue offering 220 New Year presents, containing footwear, coats and candies totaling VND55 million to Khanh Hiep Primary School, Khanh Vinh District on January 27. The volunteer activity will be joined by the Young Pioneer Detachment of Phuoc Tien Primary School and Loc Tho Primary School, Nha Trang City, to help pupils in disadvantaged areas to have a warm and happy New Year holiday, says Pham Ngoc Hai, Chief of the Board of the Youth- Young Pioneers - Children and Schools, Khanh Hoa Youth Union.

Khanh Hoa Youth Union in cooperation with Tuoi Tre Newspaper offers New Year gifts to students in places hit by recent storms and flooding.
 
Reportedly, many spring volunteer activities are being held by Youth Union affiliations across the province to help the disadvantaged. The Communist Youth Union of Khanh Hoa Provincial agencies has just held an exchange program and offered 425 New Year presents to kids in Ba Cum Bac Commune, Khanh Son District. Pasteur Nha Trang Institute Youth Union offered gifts to the poor, provided free medical examination for local residents in Giang Ly Commune; Nha Trang Technique & Technology College organized a contest on making jam which will be offered to the needy. 
 
The Youth Union of Nha Trang National College of Pedagogy has paid a visit and offered New Year gifts to beneficiaries of social welfare in Giang Ly Commune, Khanh Vinh District with a total cost of VND20 million. Besides, New Year activities have been held at the college. 20 New Year gifts worth VND500,000 each and 5 gifts worth VND1 million each were offered to poor students on January 22, according to Nguyen Hong Tin, Secretary of the Youth Union of Nha Trang National College of Pedagogy.
 
Moreover, many volunteer activities are being held by the Youth Union of districts and towns. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Secretary of Van Ninh District Youth Union says the New Year activities, focusing on visits and gifts offered to the disadvantaged will be held by Van Ninh District Youth Union on January 31. Dien Khanh District Youth Union will organize the 2019 spring fair and a musical exchange program at Khanh Hoa Psychiatric Hospital; offer New Year gifts to children of Dien Tan Primary & Junior High School; join clean-up at historical and cultural vestiges. Cam Ranh City Youth Union affiliations will organize a contest on making chung and tet cakes which will be offered to the disadvantaged and beneficiaries of social welfare; beach clean-up days, etc.
 
Khanh Hoa Youth Union has promoted the youth’s roles in helping poor people by launching the 2019 spring volunteer program with many social activities in Khanh Hoa, especially in communities damaged by recent natural disasters. 58 volunteer activities totaling over VND2 billion are planned for the New Year holiday. Khanh Hoa Public Security Youth Union will offer VND350 million transport aid to Youth Union members working in Ho Chi Minh City to take New Year trips back home in Khanh Hoa, install recreational equipment in Khanh Vinh District and offer gifts totaling VND60 million to the needy. All the effort is to help assure a warm and happy New Year for all people, especially disadvantaged families and those in remote areas, according to Bui Hoai Nam, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union.
