Khanh Hoa Department  of Natural Resources & Environment has planned various activities in response to the World Environment Day (June 5 ) and Action Month for Environment.

The World Environment Day is an annual event celebrated to raise public awareness of joint effort in environmental protection. The World Environment Day 2017 is themed “Connecting People to Nature”, urging us to get outdoors and into nature, to appreciate its beauty and importance, and to take forward the call to protect the earth that we share.

In recent decades, scientific advances as well as growing environmental problems such as global warming have helped us to understand the countless ways in which natural systems support our own prosperity and well-being. Therefore, great effort of the community is required to maintain the delicate balance in the interconnected relationships. This year’s theme chosen by UNEP invites us to think about how we are part of nature and how intimately we depend on it. It challenges us to find fun and exciting ways to experience and cherish this vital relationship.

Under the direction of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee and guidance of the Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment, Khanh Hoa Department  of Natural Resources & Environment has issued a document to instruct local departments, agencies, communities; political and social organizations; universities, etc to celebrate key activities in response to the World Environment Day and mark the Action Month for Environment (from now to the end of July) across Khanh Hoa Province.
