The 7th Scientific Symposium of Interventional Cardiology was held in Nha Trang City on June 2-4 by Ho Chi Minh City Cardiology Association in cooperation with Khanh Hoa General Hospital. The event was attended by nearly 700 professors, vice-professors, physicians and leading cardiologists at home and abroad.
Nearly 100 scientific presentations were made on advanced technologies and achievements in cardiological treatment. Besides, the symposium also delivered live televised advanced interventional cardiology techniques performed by leading specialists on 3 patients at Khanh Hoa General Hospital.
Cardiological diseases are known as the leading cause of death globally. The Interventional Cardiology has developed from the Cardiology Department in Vietnam since the late '90s. Together with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa has also seen significant growth in interventional cardiology.
