On May 24, Le Duc Vinh, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee’s Deputy Secretary, Provincial People’s Committee Chairman met with Ted Osius, United States Ambassador to Vietnam to discuss Pacific Partnership 2017 (PP17) program in Khanh Hoa and cooperation potentials between Khanh Hoa and the United States of America.
 
Le Duc Vinh introduced about provincial outstanding socio-economic achievements and acknowledged cooperation results between Khanh Hoa and the U.S.A in many sectors. He expressed the provincial support for the PP17 program, which had contributed to strengthening the friendly relationship between Vietnam and the U.S.A.

Ted Osius thanked Khanh Hoa for a warm welcome to PP17 and expressed the hope for the Pacific Partnership's trip to Khanh Hoa the following year. Ted Osius also congratulated Khanh Hoa for its improved provincial competitiveness index which promises to be appealing to foreign investors.
 
At present, 1 project by a U.S investor at a capital of USD 2.6 million is being developed in Khanh Hoa. In 2016, Khanh Hoa saw export turnover to the U.S.A at more than USD200 million, 16.77% of the provincial export turnover; and 27,000 U.S tourist arrivals, accounting for 2.36% of total international tourists to Khanh Hoa.
