Vu Lan Festival, originating from a legend of Buddhism that Bodhisattva Muc Kien Lien rescued his mother from the Hell, is an occasion for children of all ages to be grateful and show their gratitude to their parents and ancestors.

Since Buddhism was introduced to Vietnam, Vu Lan Festival has become an important Buddhist festival in Vietnam.
