Storm Usagi is expected to slam the South Central region of Vietnam on November 24. On the morning of November 22, Nha Trang people started to prepare for the storm.

Many stores over the city were crowded with locals buying necessaries, materials and devices such as sacks, screws, ropes, barbed wires, and iron sheets to protect their house during the storm.

Numerous people brought sacks to the beach to take sand to put on the roof of their house. The markets and supermarkets on November 22 also saw a large number of customers buying food for the upcoming stormy days. Noodles, hot dogs, canned food, vegetables, fruits, milks, candles, and flashlights were the most bought items. The number of goods ordered through online websites and apps were also higher than normal days.
