Khanh Hoa Sponsoring Association for People with Disabilities, Orphans & Poor Patients organized a music program at Khanh Hoa Conference Center (No. 46 Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang) on July 22. Attending the event were Nguyen Tan Tuan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council; Le Xuan Than, Chief of the National Assembly Delegation of Khanh Hoa Province, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council; business people and benefactors in and outside Khanh Hoa.
The music program featured the performances of Meritorious Artist Trinh Kim Chi and many Vietnamese singers.
The program aimed at raising money for the charity namely Kind-heartedness Funds which was established in July 2016 to help studious students of poor families and people in need. The funds has collected around VND4 billion from the benefactors at home and abroad. The funds has used VND520 million to help heart patients; supported 420 patients to have cataract operation; offered nearly VND1.8 billion to people with disabilities, orphans, and victims of natural disasters, accidents, and Damrey typhoon, etc. Additionally, the funds built eight houses for the disadvantaged people, which totaled about VND574 million.
At the music program, the participating units and benefactors contributed money to Kind-heartedness Funds. The event also included an auction where a painting which artisan Vo Van Tang (An Giang Province) painted on palm leaves with soldering gun was sold to Nguyen Thuy Nga, Deputy General Manager of Aquapharm Company, for VND70 million. Also at the event, VND80 million was given to Huynh To (Cam Nghia Ward, Cam Ranh City) as a support for him to build house.
