Vo Thi Ngoc Hong (Lac Binh village, Ninh Tho commune, Ninh Hoa) is one of the typical women doing good business and developing the family economy in many ways like raising cows, chickens and ducks as well as growing wet rice. Hong shared that in 2005 she borrowed VND 30 million from the Bank for Social Policy in Ninh Hoa to buy a pair of breeding cows to raise. Up to now, her herd of cows has grown to 10 cows. She has also built a model of raising chickens and bought more land for farming.
 
Nguyen Thi Ly (Hoa An village, Cam Phuoc Dong commune, Cam Ranh) also borrowed 20 million VND from the Bank for Social Policies to invest in a barn and buy 10 pigs for rearing. Thanks to the application of techniques in animal husbandry, Ly's family earns from 100 to 120 million VND. She shared, “Thanks to the encouragement and help of mass organizations, especially Cam Phuoc Dong Commune Women's Union, it has enabled me to access loans, breeds, care and prevention against diseases for livestock."
 
Hong and Ly are two of many typical examples of poor women overcoming difficulties and developing their economy supported by women’s unions in the past year. In 2021, women's unions at all levels in the province implemented many measures to help 2,210 poor women's households and helped 1,331 poor women. At the end of 2021, 269 households escaped from poverty.

In 2022, the provincial Women's Union strives to coordinate in providing counseling, vocational training and job offer for 10,500 members and women; support 250 women to start and develop businesses; support and help 450 poor households and 350 near-poor households.
 
According to the leader of the provincial Women's Union, every year, the provincial Women's Union assigns associations at all levels to research suitable new production models support members in economic development; impulses propaganda and mobilizes members, women, especially ethnic minority women to actively participate in the movement to develop economy… The unions at all levels have implemented many measures to support and help poor women. From the trust fund by the Bank for Social Policies, the unions at all levels have lent 1,582 billion VND to 56,061 women's households; 1,879 households have borrowed from the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development with the amount of more than 147 billion VND…
 
According to Nguyen Quynh Nga - Chairwoman of the provincial Women's Union said that, in 2021 the women’s unions in the province coordinated with vocational schools and businesses to register and introduce 2,780 female workers to participate in vocational training classes. In the coming time, women's unions at all levels in the province will continue to popularize poverty reduction policies to members; guide and encourage women to access capital from credit institutions; replicating appropriate economic models, applying science and technology to production; and raising forms to support for women to start up…
