Many solutions to support customers
 
Responding to the call of the State Bank (SBV), many branches of credit institutions in Khanh Hoa province have reduced operating costs in order to actively implement many reductions in lending interest rates for customers. In which, the lending interest rate for 5 priorized areas is currently 4.5%/year. From 2020 to now, many credit institutions have reduced lending interest rates by 0.5% - 1.5%/year, especially some banks have reduced interest rates by 2% - 2.5%/year. As of December 15, credit institutions have exempted or reduced lending interest rates for old loans to 20,680 borrowers with outstanding loans of VND 52,616 billion; the total amount has been exempted or reduced by nearly 348.2 billion VND.
 
In addition, credit institutions have launched many credit packages to support customers to maintain production and business as well as overcome difficulties.
 
Well implementing social security program
 
According to Do Trong Thao - Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam - Khanh Hoa Branch, along with actively implementing solutions to support people and businesses to overcome difficulties caused by the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, branches of credit institutions in the province have joined hands with local authorities to carry out social works and the disease prevention and control. Up to now, Khanh Hoa banking has supported the province with nearly 30 billion VND for epidemic prevention and control. Some outstanding activities in the social security work of the banking sector in 2021 such as supporting equipment for 8 medical centers to, donating rice to the poor, contributing to the fund for Covid-19 prevention and fighting of  the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, giving gifts to poor households, supporting for kitchens in isolation areas... Besides, branches of credit institutions in the province supported the provincial Covid Relief Center with 2 ambulances and 20 ventilators; 6.5 tons of rice; 3.45 billion VND; support Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Hospital with hundreds of masks, protective clothing and 72 million VND; donated 100,000 Covid-19 rapid test kits to the provincial Department of Health, one ambulance to Khanh Son Medical Center; supported 1,100 gifts for Ninh Hoa, 6 tons of rice for Van Thanh and Van Thang wards (Nha Trang City)...

Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the banking unions have called their staff to contribute at least one day's salary ( more than 1.14 billion VND in total) to support the province to buy Covid-19 vaccine; contributing one day's salary in response to the launch of donations to support Covid-19 prevention and control by the President, the Prime Minister and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
 
According to a report by the State Bank - Khanh Hoa Branch, till December 15, the whole province had 42,350 billion VND of outstanding loans affected by the Covid-19 epidemic. In which, accounting for the largest proportion is the consumption and trade with 17,736 billion VND (41.88%), followed by the tourism with 7,675 billion VND (18.12%), the processing and manufacturing industry (food, beverage, textile...) with 7,573 billion VND (17.88%).... Branches of credit institutions in the province have adjusted debt terms and extended debts for 5,416 borrowers affected by the epidemic with a total value of 12,311 billion VND.
