Some objectives of the provincial OCOP program for the period of 2021 - 2025 are at least 200 products reaching 3-star OCOP at provincial level, at least 3 products reaching 5-star national OCOP; at least 50 new products reaching from 3-star OCOP at provincial level; and at least 50 new OCOP economic organizations. The targets by 2025 are mobilizing 50 - 60% of rural labor force to participate in the OCOP system; products from advanced agriculture, fisheries, tourism, and rural services contribute 65-70% of the local gross product. The total budget for the implementation of the project is more than 412 billion VND, more than 160 billion VND of which is from the state budget, the rest is reciprocal from OCOP participants. According to the report of the Rural Development Sub-Department, in the period 2018 - 2020, 26 products in the province had OCOP certification of 3 stars or more. As a result, products can reach more distribution channels, especially supermarkets; sales of the provincial OCOP products increased compared to before. Specifically, the total revenue of 26 OCOP products reached VND 7.5 billion/year, an increase of 15% and the average profit reached VND 700 million/year, an increase of 10% compared to before participating in the OCOP program.
OCOP products enjoy many trade promotion and support policies. From 2018 to 2020, the Department of Industry and Trade organized 21 trade fairs and exhibitions in the province. Each of the fairs and exhibitions had one point to introduce and sell OCOP products. In 2019 and 2020, Khanh Hoa's OCOP products participated in the OCOP Festival exhibition booth at the national conference summarizing 10 years of the National Target Program on building new rural areas for the period 2010 - 2020; at the Market Week of Agricultural Products and Food Safety in 2020 organized by the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development)... In 2019 and 2020, the budget for OCOP Khanh Hoa is more than 30 billion dong, of which the state budget is nearly 11 billion dong, the rest is reciprocal of the subjects.

One theme each year

According to the provincial People's Committee's implementation of the OCOP program for the period of 2021 - 2025, the OCOP program will be implemented under specific themes for each year.

The theme of 2021 is "Applying science, technology and resources for OCOP" with the task of building component projects of the projecr, focusing on research, application and transfer of new science and technology to develop new products and upgrade existing products. In 2022, the program will focus on "Strengthening economic organization and developing chain products associated with community tourism". In 2023, the program will focus on "Developing standard products from basic to advanced and quality traceability". The goal of products participating in OCOP is to be completed and standardized to fully meet the State's regulations when circulating goods and to meeting the requirements and needs of the market. This is a step to create a premise for the program to implement the application of digital solutions (technology 4.0) in production and trade by 2024". At that time, the provincial key OCOP products are shaped and operated according to the chain model; and promoted e-commerce. In 2025, the program will have the theme "Monitoring, evaluating, honoring products and international trade". It will be the time when the monitoring and evaluation mechanism is strictly implemented to ensure that OCOP products comply with the set criteria as well as current regulations.

Considered as one of the key programs for economic development in rural areas, the provincial OCOP program in the period of 2021 - 2025 aims to promote the potential and strengths of localities, creativity and energy of the people to create goods of good quality, meeting the prescribed standards; form key product value chains that are key products at district, provincial and national levels to reach out to domestic and foreign markets.
