According to  Nguyen Chi Dieu - Sales Manager of Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company, at the end of 2020, many projects to do farming combined with rooftop solar power deployed in the province in order to enjoy timely preferential policies according to Decision No. 13 of the Prime Minister on the mechanism to encourage the development of solar power in Vietnam. In addition to signing power purchase contracts with project owners, the electricity sector also regularly inspects and supervises these projects.

Tran Dang Hien - Deputy General Director of Khanh Hoa Electricity Joint Stock Company said that the company deployed to connect and sign contracts with farms combining rooftop solar power according to regulations and guidances of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Vietnam Electricity.

Hien said that the farms with rooftop solar power have made an important contribution to providing local power sources, reducing the transmission of electricity from the national grid to the load; thereby reducing losses in the transmission and distribution of electricity. In the coming time, it is forecasted that the demand for electricity will keep increasing, so the development of agricultural farms combined with rooftop solar power will contribute to reducing pressure on power source of the country in general and of Khanh Hoa in particular.
