Many power projects with large capacity

Recently, Khanh Hoa has become a major energy production center of the Central region – the Highlands with a series of solar power and thermal power projects. Currently, the power transmission grid managed by Power Transmission Company No 3 can load capacity of 650MW  of 13 solar and hydropower plants. Some solar power plants have very large capacity such as KN Van Ninh (100MWp) and Long Son (170MWp), both of which have generated electricity and connected to the grid. In particular, the project of BOT Van Phong 1 thermal power plant invested by Sumitomo Corporation (Japan) with a total investment of 2.58 billion USD and a total capacity of 1,320MWp will finishe construction and completed and start operation in 2023.
