According to Mr. Bui Hoa Thinh - Head of Planning and Finance Department of BIDV Khanh Hoa, BIDV Khanh Hoa has extended debt, adjusted debt terms for customers affected by Covid-19 epidemic with nearly VND450 billion of loans. The bank branch is considering , extending debts and adjusting loan terms for other customers. In addition, from April 1, BIDV has launched the interest rate reduction program to support borrowers affected by the Covid-19 epidemic with debts incurred before April 1. The reduction for interest rates is from 0.5% or more, depending on business activities, damage level, loan term, etc. In addition, from March 2020, BIDV has also launched new loan packages with preferential interest rates. BIDV Khanh Hoa has reduced or exempted fees for online customers to limit direct transactions, expanded the delivery and receipt of records and documents via mail and fax, arranged sufficient human and material resources to ensure smooth and safe transactions.
 
Together with the commercial banks, the Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) - Khanh Hoa Branch and transaction offices are actively implemented solutions to support and remove difficulties for customers affected by Covid-19 epidemic. VBSP Khanh Hoa is cooperating with localities, socio-political organizations taking entrustment, saving and loan groups ... to check, make statistics and  guide borrowers, urgently implementing support solutions as prescribed. In case the customer is in difficulty, unable to pay the principal, on the basis of the customer request, VBSP will consider adjusting the repayment term, debt extension or additional lending to help customers restore production and business. VBSP also adjusts debt terms, extends debt payments for customers who are receiving medical treatment or are quarantined by the Covid-19 epidemic. In case the borrower has difficulty in repaying debt but has no supporting, VBSP will report to the competent authorities for consideration. Up to now, the provincial VBSP and transaction offices have actively coordinated to disburse in time the capital for production and restore production and business with the amount of VND 272 billion for 6,183 customers to borrow capital; extend debt due for customers damaged by the Covid-19 epidemic with VND10 billion, handling the risk of VND1.4 billion.

Sharing difficulties
 
According to Do Trong Thao - Deputy Director of the State Bank of Khanh Hoa Branch, the banking has always accompanied and shared difficulties with people and businesses. According to statistics, the whole province has 2,815 borrowers (856 enterprises and 1,959 individuals) affected by the Covid-19 epidemic; with credit balance of more than VND20,711 billion, accounting for 22.95% of total credit balance. Following the direction of the State Bank of Khanh Hoa Branch, by March 31, the branches of credit institutions in the area have adjusted the debt terms and loan extensions for 643 customers, with more than VND2,675 billion (including 84 enterprises with nearly 1,759 billion and 559 individuals with nearly VND917 billion. Besides, 761 new customers have been lent with the amount of more than VND 2,270 billion. Many credit institutions already have preferential credit packages; reduce interest rates for old loans with many levels: below 1% / year, from 1 to 2% / year, and 2% / year or more. In addition to credit solutions to overcome difficulties for customers, credit institutions also apply many policies on exemption and reduction of fees to encourage customers to make electronic transactions and do non-cash payments to prevent the disease spread.
