20 hectares of mangoes in Tan Thanh Hamlet, Cam Thanh Bac Commune, Cam Lam District have recently been granted VietGAP (Vietnamese Good Agricultural Practices) certification.

Khanh Hoa Phat Export-Import Co., Ltd. encouraged the farmers in the locality to grow mango trees under VietGAP standards; the company consumes all the products. This VietGAP model was implemented from June to December 2019. The region 3 Center of Agriculture-Forestry-Fishery Quality has given information and instructions on planting mangoes in accordance with VietGAP standards to the farmers; supervised, checked, and evaluated the planting process.

Over six months of implementation, the yield of mangoes has reached 6-8 tons/hectare; average selling price has been VND40,000/kg.

Reportedly, Khanh Hoa Phat Export-Import Co., Ltd. will always support local farmers in implementing this VietGAP model. The company so far has exported 3 containers of clean mangoes with a total output of 36 tons to Hong Kong.
