February CPI rises by 0.64%

Consumer Product Index (CPI) of Khanh Hoa Province on February rose by 0.64% over that in January, rising by 2.66% year-on-year, according to the provincial Statistics Office.

 

Consumer Product Index (CPI) of Khanh Hoa Province on February rose by 0.64% over that in January, rising by 2.66% year-on-year, according to the provincial Statistics Office.

8 out of 11 main goods and service groups have increase in CPI, including dining-out food and services (1.12%), drinks and cigarettes (0.06%), garment – headwear – footwear (0.37%), housing – electricity – water – fuels – building materials (0.34%), home equipment and appliance (0.19%), traffic (0.59%), culture – entertainment – tourism (0.32%), and goods and other services (1.03%). Other groups, including post – telecommunications, education, and medicine – health services have no changes in prices.

The increase in Feruary CPI is because of the rise of demand in shopping as well as travel on the occasion of the lunar new year festival, rise in gas price (VND12,000/12-kg tank), rise in individual service price, etc.
