Stocking goods for Tet in mountainous districts

Comercial and service centers of Khanh Vinh District and Khanh Son District are planning to reserve necessary goods for the lunar new year festival 2019 (Tet).

Comercial and service centers of Khanh Vinh District and Khanh Son District are planning to reserve necessary goods for the lunar new year festival 2019 (Tet).
 
From early November, Khanh Vinh Commercial and Service Center directs its eight shops to list necessary products to stock for the coming lunar new year festival. As planned, the center will sell 7 commodities at stable prices, including 100 tons of rice, 3 tons of glutious rice, 238 boxes of cooking oil, 100 boxes of seasoning powder, 110 boxes of fish sauce, 140 kilograms of watermelon seeds and beverage worth VND400 million. The center will advance the State budget about VND1.5 billion to stock goods. It has also made a plan to do selling on 24th, 25th and 26th of the last lunar month in Khanh Phu Commune, Khanh Nam Commune and Khanh Dong Commune to supply goods for people in remote areas. Beside commodities at stabilized prices, the center will also prepare other commodities with about VND400 million in expenditure to diversify products for local people on the occasion of the lunar new year festival.

According to Bui Van Chuyen, director of Khanh Son Commercial and Service Center, the goods prepared for the lunar new year festival will rise by 10% with 17 tons of rice, 7 tons of glutinous rice, over 2,200 bottles of cooking oil, 2000 packs of seasoning powder, 3000 cans of soft drinks, 500 kilograms of watermelon seeds, etc. Beside the advance of VND1.5 billion from the State budget, the center will also stock other commodities like mats, blankets, mosquito nets, brooms, porcelain, etc. Depending on demand of the local people, the goods will be distributed for 6 selling points with stabilized prices in To Hap Town, Ba Cum Nam Commune, Ba Cum Bac Commune, Thanh Son Commune and Son Lam Commune. 
 
At present, the above centers have submitted the provincial Department of Industry and Trade and the provincial Department of Finance and the provincial People’s Committee petition for advances to stock goods. As planed, the two centers will work with distributors in Nha Trang and Dien Khanh to purchase and distribute necessary goods. The centers will also do propaganda on media and hang banners at selling points with stabilized prices in order to popularize to the local people.
