Labor stable after Tet

Right after the lunar New Year festival (Tet), more than 85% workers in enterprises in Khanh Hoa Province have backed to worked. Enterprises have restarted production.

Right after the lunar New Year festival (Tet), more than 85% workers in enterprises in Khanh Hoa Province have backed to worked. Enterprises have restarted production.
 
These days, working atmosphere in two branches of Rapexco Dai Nam have been busy; 98% of the staff have returned to work after Tet. Nguyen Thi Ha, director of the company, said, “Nearly 2,000 workers have backed to work. No lack in labor after Tet occurs. To delight working, leadership of the company directly gave New Year lucky money to the workers. In 2018, the company has stable supply and orders from Europe and the US, which will ensure regular jobs for laborers.”
 
All 400 workers of Khanh Hoa Salt Company have returned to work after Tet. In 2017, this company coped with a lot difficulties due to natural disasters; therefore, salt production was only 16,000 tons, reaching 37% of the year’s plan. Moreover, the storm Damrey damaged the company’s workshop, machines, materials, warehouses, etc. worth over VND7 billion. However, the company still kept policies for laborers. The company still gave average Tet bonus of VND4.6 million/person; supported more than VND60 million for workers whose houses were collapsed.

In Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard Co., Ltd. (HVS), more than 3,000 workers have also returned to work on fixed time. To keep workers, the company attended to their income and finance their fares for them to travel to their home on Tet. These cares and improved working conditions here have kept workers back to the company after Tet. According to HVS leadership, in 2018, the number of orders are stable, and the company will build up 12 new ships this year, increasing by 4 over 2017. Therefore, income of the company’s laborers will be ensured.
 
According to Trinh Thi Hop, deputy director of the provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, up to now, more than 85% of laborers have back to enterprises. Enterprises have improved working environment as well as attended to salary and bonus for laborers in year-end time. Before Tet, many enterprises organized entertainment activities to encourage their staff. Before Tet holiday, many enterprises announced policies in 2018 with good income and supports for laborers, which partly attracted workers.
 
Le Xuan Hai, vice-chairman of the provincial Labor Federation, to partly support enterprises to have stable labor staff, labor unions at all levels have done a lot of activities to take care of workers, listened to their desires to solve reasonably and timely. Especially, labor unions gave Tet presents to workers, supported vehicles for them to travel home for Tet, etc. Such activities have made workers have long attachment to enterprises.
