Helping students know more about nation’s sea and islands

The digital exhibition about the historical and legal information and evidence about Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa Archipelagos has been organized at schools in Nha Trang City for many years. This activity has helped to raise awareness of the position, role, importance and potential of Vietnam's seas and islands and awareness of responsibility to protect the homeland's sovereignty over sea and sacred islands among teachers and students. Au Co Junior High School has often incorporated knowledge about the nation’s sovereignty over sea and islands into history and geography lessons and extracurricular activities. The exhibition about the nation’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa is a very useful activity to nurture the love for the homeland in students, according to Tran Thi Thanh Huyen, vice principal of Au Co Junior High School.

As said by Nguyen Chanh Thuc, director of Nha Trang City Center of Culture, Information and Sports, the information, documents and images featured in the digital exhibition has helped to raise awareness and sense of solidarity and responsibility of young generation in protecting maritime sovereignty of the nation. The exhibition is also an opportunity to commemorate and honor the merits of ancestors who fought and sacrificed their lives to protect the territorial sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa Archipelagoes.
