Khanh Hoa's Press Awards 2022 sees many good entries

22 entries were offered prizes at Khanh Hoa Province's Press Awards 2022, including two first prizes, four second prizes, six third prizes and 10 consolation prizes. This year, many entries were carefully invested, reflecting quite comprehensively many spheres of life.

The 2022 Press Awards of Khanh Hoa attracted participants of many Central and local press agencies. The awards received 95 entries of journalists and groups of journalists, including 69 print articles, 9 broadcast articles, 9 electronic articles, 8 radio articles, and 25 serial articles (up 9 compared to 2021). Especially, there were 27 entries about good people and good deeds and typical examples in the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic, accounting for more than a quarter of the number of entries. The good quality of many serial articles showed the efforts of the journalists in creating good articles. 
 
The entries provided information about building the Party; studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morals and style; economy and society, national defense and security; Truong Sa (Spratly) and sea and islands; tourism, science, culture and art; patriotic emulation movements and examples of good people and good deeds; issues of public concern on the state management in project implementation, construction activities, natural resources and environment; disease prevention and control in the province, especially the Covid-19 pandemic. This reflects the presence of the press in all spheres of social life.

The print articles were written closely; reflected the efforts of the journalists to find good and special topics; and expressed the writers’ own perspective. The electronic articles and broadcast articles had good content and structures which are suitable with the general trend of modern journalism. Some electronic articles were applied technology and presented according to new trend. The entries explored diverse topics; many of them had good topics, reflecting diverse spheres with many perspectives, and delving deeply into the issues.

Despite being affected by the pandemic, in general, the entries of the 2022 awards had good quality; reflected quite comprehensively all aspects of social life and closely major political events of the province, including many time hot issues, according to Doan Minh Long, member of the Executive Committee of Vietnam Journalists’ Association, chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Journalists’ Association, chairman of the Jury Council of Khanh Hoa’s 2022 Press Awards.
 
In general, the prize-winning works of this year’s press awards showed the enthusiasm and dedication of the reporters and journalists to journalism and their investment and hard work to provide timely, objective and accurate information to readers, audiences and listeners.
