In recent years, cultural exchange between Khanh Hoa Province and localities and Khanh Hoa's partners in the Republic of Korea (RoK) has been increasingly expanded. In order to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and RoK (December 22, 1992 - December 22, 2022), Khanh Hoa and RoK will coordinate to organize many cultural and art events in the province.

In order to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and RoK (December 22, 1992 - December 22, 2022), Khanh Hoa and RoK will coordinate to organize many cultural and art events in the province.
Cultural diplomacy - bridge of friendly relations
At the recent conference namely Meeting with RoK 2022 held in Binh Dinh Province, Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee - stated the good diplomatic relations between Khanh Hoa Province and localities and Khanh Hoa’s partners in RoK. Khanh Hoa and Ulsan City, Nha Trang City and Chung Gu District (Incheon City) have carried out many good exchange activities, for example sending art groups to perform and learn about culture and art of each other.

During a meeting with Kang Myongil - Consul General of RoK in Ho Chi Minh City - at the end of March, Nguyen Tan Tuan expressed his wish that the Consul General would help to bring Korean art groups to the festivals organized by Khanh Hoa in the future; coordinate with the province to organize cultural exchange activities and art exhibitions and introduce Korean films in Khanh Hoa. Especially, Nguyen Tan Tuan suggested that the Consul General assist the province to hold Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange festival in Khanh Hoa in 2022.
Korean art groups participated in Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa sea festivals held in recent years and left good impressions on the audience. Some big Korean news agencies and TV stations have also come to the province to make programs about the culture, country and people of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa. Some art groups of Khanh Hoa have performed in South Korea. Some universities of the province often organize Korean cultural exchange activities in different forms. For example, Thai Binh Duong University recently held the 3rd Korean Cultural Festival to help its students and students of some high schools learn about Korean culture.
More exchange activities
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on May 6 issued a plan to implement cooperation activities between Vietnam and RoK in the province on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and RoK and the 20th anniversary of the friendship between Khanh Hoa Province and Ulsan City. Accordingly, the cooperation activities include contests about Vietnam-RoK relations; exhibitions about Korean’s culture and people. The Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange festival will feature art performances, photo exhibitions, cuisine festivals, performances of Korean art groups and artists; cultural and art exchange activities among Vietnamese and Korean pupils and students. Khanh Hoa will also invite the provinces and cities of RoK, which have had partnership with the province, to attend the province’s large-scale cultural events.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports is coordinating with other provincial departments and sectors to prepare for the Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange festival, which is scheduled for August. This event is expected to strengthen the cooperation in many fields between Khanh Hoa and the localities and Khanh Hoa’s partners in RoK. Through the activities of the festival, Khanh Hoa and Korean people can learn more about each other’s cultural characteristics.
Along with other diplomatic fields, the cultural activities between Khanh Hoa and the localities and Khanh Hoa’s partners in RoK in recent years have helped to strengthen solidarity and partnership between Khanh Hoa and RoK.
