Diverse activities
There are nearly 100 cultural and art activities under the theme “Safe destination – the call of Nha Trang beach” taking place throughout the year. The activities are divided into six groups, including activities celebrating Lunar New Year 2022; activities relating to Ponagar Temple Festival on April 30 and May 1 occasion; summer activities; and activities welcoming New Year 2023. Besides, there are activities held regularly or spontaneously.

In Lunar New Year 2022 holidays, the cultural and art units in the province were flexible in organizing activities to ensure the successful organization of events and the requirements of COVID-19 prevention and control. On the occasion of April 30 and May 1, 2022, the units will organize Am Chua Festival, Ponagar Temple Festival, Hung Kings’ Death Anniversary, and art shows about Thien Y A Na Holy Mother. Some other outstanding activities include art show celebrating the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, Khanh Hoa’s Bai Choi open festival, tourism festival namely the call of Nha Trang beach, and so on.
The summer activities in Nha Trang include an art photo exhibition about the beauty of Khanh Hoa, the land of aloes wood and salanganes nest; traditional cultural shows and music shows; Miss Sea Tourism Pageant Vietnam, etc. In early September, there are art and music shows celebrating National Independence Day (September 2); an art show about Nha Trang; an art show about typical features of localities over the country; and so on. The activities to welcome New Year 2023 will be held with many art performances of diverse content and genres.

Nha Trang- Khanh Hoa needs attractive cultural and art activities besides tours in order to attract more tourists, as said by Nguyen Thanh Ha, director of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports. The cultural and art activities will help tourists discover and learn about local cultural features. The department will invite top artists of the country to perform at large-scale activities.
Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe is assigned to organize many programs in 2022. “Apart from the repertoire which were staged last year but haven’t been performed, we have planned to create new performances to serve audience,” said Tran Duc Ha, head of Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe.
The provincial Department of Culture and Sports and cultural units in the province have started preparations for some activities about Thien Y A Na Holy Mother and main cultural and art programs of the province. Through the activities, the units hope to create good impressions of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa on tourists.
