This years’ music festival about soldiers was organized at a relatively smaller scale due to the impacts of the pandemic. However, the quality of the festival was still good thanks to careful preparations and investment in the performances of the participating units.
Ninh Hoa Town public art team highlighted their repertoire with elaborately and spectacularly choreographed dance performances. The team had staged and rehearsed their performances for nearly one month. They were satisfied that they could show what they had rehearsed. Meanwhile, Cam Lam District public art team focused on praising the beauty and development of the motherland. Cam Ranh team represented the images the nation’s sea and island as well as toughness and resilience of the naval soldiers. Considering the music festival as a meaningful and practical activity for the spiritual life of the soldiers, Air Defense Division 377, the only military unit participating in the 2021 festival, tried to overcome the difficulties caused by the pandemic to prepare and rehearse carefully for the festival.
Besides the performances about the nation, the Communist Party, Uncle Ho, and the nation’s People’s Army soldier, there were some about the fight against COVID-19 pandemic of the frontline forces. It was the first time Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ha Bac had been the judge of the music festival about soldiers of Khanh Hoa. Bac highly assessed the fact that Khanh Hoa has maintained the music festival for the past 30 years. He hopes that other localities in the region will organize similar music festivals. He also highly appreciated the artistic quality of the performances performed by amateur actors and dancers.
The music festivals about soldiers have provided an occasion for the localities and units to exchange with each other, helping to tighten the solidarity between soldiers and civilians. The 2021 festival was joined by nine public art teams from the localities, military units, and schools over the province. The performances represented the encouragement towards the soldiers in the localities and units. At the end of the festival, five teams were offered certificates of merit of the provincial People’s Committee.
