Organizing cultural and art activities in new way

Following the success of the series of cultural and art activities to stimulate tourism demand held at the end of 2020, Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports is preparing for many summer cultural and art activities for locals and visitors in the province.

A series of more than 30 activities

From mid-April to the end of July, there will be more than 30 cultural and art activities to be held in Nha Trang City, Ninh Hoa Town, Dien Khanh District, and Khanh Son District. These activities will be connected to create a series of meaningful events to attract visitors to the province in the summer.

This year, Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival will not be organized; therefore, these activities are expected to partly fill the void left by the festival.

New way of organization

Khanh Hoa Province has organized many art shows; however, connecting them into a series of activities was only suggested at the end of 2020. The connection is expected to improve the quality of these activities and help to provide more tourist products for tourist companies.

Pham Minh Nhut, permanent vice-chairman of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association highly appreciates the series of cultural and art activities to stimulate tourism demand of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports. He says that the activities are diverse and reflect the typical features of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa and its people. The connection of the activities is a necessary step to connect cultural activities and tourism more closely. The tourist companies have been provided with the plan for the series so that they can introduce it to tourists.

According to Nguyen Thanh Ha, director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, the province’s cultural sector is working towards many quality and efficient cultural and art activities in order to attract tourists and make culture to become a tourism product. The activities need to be organized with good quality, diverse contents and forms and need to feature the nation’s cultural characteristics. With the unpredictable progression of COVID-19, the activities need to be held in accordance with the pandemic control and prevention regulations.

For the first time in Khanh Hoa, the cultural and art activities of a year have been connected into a themed series to highlight the local culture and tourism. This new way of organization is expected to provide new experiences for tourists when they visit Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa.
