Praising Vietnamese soldiers

The music festival about Vietnamese soldiers of Khanh Hoa Province, which has been organized 28 times, is an occasion to honor the Uncle Ho’s soldiers.

The 2019 edition of Khanh Hoa’s soldier-themed music festival took place at the 2-4 Square (Nha Trang City) from December 16 to 18. 400 amateur artists and actors of 13 art groups from the armed forces, agencies, universities, and colleges in the province took part in the festival. The soldier-themed music festival is a means to promote propaganda on the good tradition of Vietnam People’s Army and is an occasion to evaluate the music movement at the units.

The participating units practiced carefully for the festival. Through 65 music items, the units expressed their love for the Communist Party, Uncle Ho, Vietnamese People's Army, love for homeland, etc.

As said by Van Dinh An, Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Center of Culture and Cinema, apart from the units which often join the festival, the 2019 music festival for the soldiers attracted many new units from the districts of Cam Lam and Khanh Vinh, and Ninh Hoa Town. During the preparation for the festival, the units received professional support from the organization committee to ensure the quality of their performances.

The music items performed at this year’s music festival about Vietnamese soldiers were staged based on the theme of the festival namely the belief in the Vietnamese Communist Party. The performances of Khanh Hoa Provincial Military Headquarters reflected the past 75 years of construction, combat, and maturity of Vietnam People’s Army and 30 years of the All People’s Defense Festival.

Meanwhile, the amateur artists and actors of Naval Region 4 impressed the audience with their artistic depiction of Vietnamese naval soldiers. The soldiers of Air Force Officers’ College showed their dreams of conquering the sky to protect the homeland. Through the performances, the audience could partly see into the soul of the air force soldiers. The love for nation and Uncle Ho’s soldiers was conveyed in the performances of the students of Nha Trang University, who joined the festival for the first time.

Referring to Khanh Hoa’s soldier-themed music festival 2019, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Van Hung, Deputy Political Commissar of Khanh Hoa Military Headquarters, said the participating units showed their talent and enthusiasm and vividly reflected the solidarity among the soldiers through their performances. The quality performances have contributed in making the festival a meaningful cultural festival.
