Scheduled art programs for Lunar New Year of Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe

Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe is actively preparing for the four main art programs held at 2-4 Square (Nha Trang) serving the locals and tourists during the Lunar New Year 2019 as the plan for welcoming Lunar New Year issued by Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports.

On February 1, 2019 (lunar December 27, 2018), the troupe will perform in a live-broadcast program celebrating the 89th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and the 89th founding anniversary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee. At the program, the leaders of Khanh Hoa will send New Year wishes to the civilians and soldiers who are living and working on Truong Sa (Spratly) Island District. In addition, the troupe holds a New Year art show on Lunar New Year’s Eve (February 4, 2019) and music shows on February 7 and 9. From February 11 to 19, Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe travels to the two mountainous areas Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh to serve the ethnic communities. 

 

 
In order to prepare for the four main New Year programs at 2-4 Square and programs to serve the locals of Khanh Son District and Khanh Vinh District,  Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe tried to complete the arrangement and staging in December 2018. They are now practicing to perfect their performances.
 
At the live-broadcast program on February 1, the artists of Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe will perform music items praising the Communist Party, homeland, national sea and islands. The performances of the Lunar New Year’s Eve will bring a sense of joy, vitality and excitement of new year to the audience. 
 
The music shows on February 7 and 9 (Lunar January 3 and 5) will be a combination between the contemporary and traditional elements. The people who love Vietnam’s traditional music can enjoy the artists’ performances with monochord, 16-chord zither, and bamboo flute, etc. reflecting the cultural characteristics of many regions across the country such as the mountainous area of the North-west, Hue Province, and the South.
