On December 31, the announcement ceremony of the National Tourism Year 2019 and art program welcoming New Year will take place at 2-4 Square, Nha Trang. This is the opening for the series of the cultural, sports and tourism activities planned for the National Tourism Year. The program is going to be live broadcast on VTV2 channel and feature many famous singers of Vietnam such as My Tam, Trong Tan, Ali Hoang Duong, and Uyen Linh.
In the first days of New Year 2019, the locals and tourists in Nha Trang can enjoy the vibrant event Tiger Remix also at 2-4 Square on January 12. The event is planned to comprise some games (climbing stairs to pick lucky things, mysterious box, jumping over obstacles to find things, etc) and a music program with the performances of many Vietnamese well-known singers (My Tam, Son Tung M-TP, Dong Nhi, Duc Phuc, Chau Dang Khoa, Orange, Thieu Bao Trang, Vu Thao, and so on).

As said by Le Van Hoa, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, there will be about 20 art programs to be organized on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2019. The provincial Cultural Center have prepared for the shows of organ, piano, and guitar; folk songs of Nghe Tinh Province; Don ca tai tu (traditional improvisational chamber music). These programs will take place before Lunar New Year. On Lunar New Year’s Eve, the center holds a music – fashion show at 2-4 Square. The artists of the center will perform Bài Chòi, street arts, music and fashion in the first days of Lunar New Year.
Hai Dang Sing and Dance Troupe will also organize plenty of art programs at 2-4 Square, including live-broadcast program in the evening of February 2, 2019 (lunar December 28, 2018); New Year art show on February 4, 2019 (lunar December 30, 2018); music program on February 7 and 9, 2019. Tran Duc Ha, Deputy Head of Hai Dang Song and Dance Troupe, said that the New Year performances of the troupe will reflect the fresh and happy atmosphere of youth and new year; the programs will harmonize the contemporary and traditional elements into the interesting performances.
In addition, the Traditional Art Theatre of Khanh Hoa planned to hold the shows of Tuong singing (Vietnam’s classical drama) and Bài Chòi at the theatre (No. 62 Sinh Trung Street, Nha Trang), beach park opposite No. 16 Tran Phu Street, Ponagar Temple.
