The 27th music festival about soldiers of Khanh Hoa Province ended on December 19 after two nights of performances. With tens of well-staged music items, the festival was a meaningful cultural activity of the province.

This is a traditional activity of Khanh Hoa which is organized for the province’s arts groups to exchange with each other and to strengthen the relationship between the soldiers and civilians. The music performances have also helped to enrich the spiritual life of the soldiers. The 2018 edition of the festival was participated in by nearly 300 singers and actors of nine amateur art groups from Khanh Hoa Military Headquarters, Naval Region 4, Border Guard Headquarters, Air Defense Division 377, Air Force Officers’ College, Naval Brigade 189, Naval Academy, Khanh Hoa Veterans' Association, and Nha Trang Center of Culture and Sports.

The theme of the 27th festival was homeland and soldiers. The participants performed nearly 50 songs and dances praising the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnamese soldiers, love for nation, national sea and islands, etc. The preparation for the performances and the messages of each participating units were shown in the items. The audience could feel the determination to defend the national territorial waters of the Naval Region 4; the pride of the Air Defense Division 377; respect and gratitude towards President Ho Chi Minh of Khanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Headquarters; and the national spirit of Nha Trang Cultural and Sports Center.

The teams also integrated arts with their typical characteristics into their performances. Some were self-staged performances and some were staged based on Vietnam’s traditional art forms. As said by Colonel Vu Van Xuyen of the Naval Region 4, his team always prepared well for the editions of the province’s festival about soldiers. Through each festival, the art group of the Naval Region 4 learned things from other teams to better their performances for other cultural activities.

Dinh Van An, Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Cultural Center also praised the preparation, performing skills of the participants, and quality of the music items of the 27th edition of the province’s festival about soldiers.
