Hai’s family is a poor household. Tran Xuan Huy, her father, said that his family lives in a small house with 24 square meters in Ngoc Son Hamlet, Ninh An Commune, Ninh Hoa Town. He is a carpenter with a low and unstable income. After his wife’s death in 2009, leaving him 3 children, he has earned living for the whole family. Huy had to borrow money in order to support his two children’s study.  Hai’s little brother is now a student in Khanh Hoa Medical College.

After graduating from the college, Hai found a job in Khanh Hoa General Hospital. Unfortunately, she has suddenly suffered a serious illness. Her father had to stop working to take care her.

Reportedly, Khanh Hoa General Hospital is raising a subscription from its employees to help Hai with her disease. However, Hai’s paralysis may require a long treatment with a high treatment cost.

Hai’s family hope to receive supports from organizations and individuals. All the supports can be sent to the charity box of Khanh Hoa Newspaper office at 77 Yersin St., Nha Trang City (058 3706666), or Tran Thi Mong Hai (0166 7423 725).
